Colin Cowherd takes yet another shot at Clemson football

The Clemson football program has developed into one of the top programs in the nation, and there’s no arguing that.

The Tigers have won two of the last four National Championships and have made it to five-straight CFB Playoffs- more than any other program in the nation in the CFB Playoff era.

Despite the success that Dabo Swinney has had leading this Clemson football program, popular radio personality Colin Cowherd released his ‘top CFB programs‘ and didn’t even have the Tigers in the first tier.

The truth is this: Cowherd’s list makes no sense, no matter how you look at it.

If this is a list of the top CFB programs of all-time, it makes no sense that Notre Dame would be in Tier Two. If this is a list of recent success, there’s no way in the world that you can make an argument for USC to be in the first tier. I mean, the Trojans haven’t been relevant in more than a decade.

Clemson football is the best program in the nation, hands down

The more we look at this list, the more it seems this is just a pointed stab at the Clemson football program.

The way this list reads, at least in my opinion, is that these are the best CFB programs in America currently because you simply wouldn’t have Oregon on any list if you were talking about all-time, no offense to the Ducks.

So, that being said, this is nothing more than a shot at Clemson and an attempt to show the country that he will refuse to recognize success from Dabo Swinney no matter how obvious it is.

You can ask any coach, analyst or fan who has watched CFB in the country over the last half-decade and they’ll tell you that Clemson is one of the programs in the nation.

Recent history shows how underutilized Travis Etienne is. dark. Next

Oh, and they’re not going anywhere. Clemson is recruiting at a level higher than just about anyone in the nation and Cowherd can continue to ignore that all he wants and make bogus lists, but it’s not going to stop what’s really happening in the world of College Football, where Clemson is king.
