Clemson football made its first moves for the 2022 recruiting cycle

Clemson football fans have learned over the years that Dabo Swinney is a very slow-moving recruiter and that he takes making an offer very seriously.

The Tigers make only a selected few offers over the course of a specific recruiting cycle and an even lower percentage of those are considered ‘commitable offers.’

With summer camps cancelled for this year, the Clemson football coaching staff has had to go about recruiting a little bit differently. Though the Tigers haven’t been able to have prospects on campus, they’ve been evaluating film and looking ahead to the 2022 recruiting cycle.

Currently, the 2021 recruiting cycle has about 5-8 more spots to be filled for Clemson football.

The Tigers are going to take quite a few defensive linemen, defensive backs and a couple of linebackers.

You’ll see the staff wait to offer a quarterback until they have their guy set. You’ll also see a few wide receivers targeted in this class, but the staff is going to be careful about their offers at that position, as well.
