The Clemson football program was named one of the top schools for 5-star WR Emeka Egbuka. Here’s a look at the latest in his recruitment.

5-star WR Emeka Egbuka released his top schools and the Clemson football program made the list of final four.

Egbuka, a 5-star WR from Steilacoom, Washington, is rated as the No. 1 wide receiver in the nation and the No. 8 overall player in the country, according to the 247 Sports’ Composite Player Rankings.

Egbuka announced that his final four would include Clemson, Ohio State, Washington and Oklahoma. The Tigers offered the talented wide receiver last June.

At this point, Ohio State seems like the heavy favorite to win his services. 91 percent of Egbuka’s crystal ball predictions have him joining the Buckeyes and it seems that Ryan Day and Co. have a firm grasp on his recruitment currently.

That doesn’t mean that things can’t change, though.

The key for Clemson football will be getting Egbuka on campus at some point later this year when recruiting visits are able to happen again. The Tigers will need to show him why moving across the country will be worth it in the long run and how he’ll be able to further his goal of playing at the next level by joining the Clemson football program.

Much of this recruitment is also dictated by the decision of 5-star WR Troy Stellato, who is heavily considering both the Tigers and the Buckeyes.

It will be interesting to see if Clemson can get more heavily involved over the course of the next few months in Egbuka’s recruitment, but right now I would say that the Tigers are probably third on his list behind Ohio State and Washington.
