When Clemson football head coach Dabo Swinney says that Clemson is a lifelong commitment, his actions speak louder than his words.

We all know Clemson football is different. They take a holistic approach to recruiting and don’t simply throw offers out to everyone. When you look at the coaching staff, you get a better understanding of why that is.

Becoming a Tiger is a lifelong commitment, you are not simply forgotten after your four years in a uniform are over. You belong to the family and for that reason, you have to be special.

Take a look at the Clemson football coaching staff and support staff, it is full of former Tigers and not just players that played for Coach Swinney, though that is a lot of them. Brandon Streeter, for instance, was a Tommy West recruit and player but has been back for several years now.

Clemson football isn’t just developing great players and student-athletes, they are developing great coaches and leaders.

Some of the former players that you will find on the current staff DeAndre McDaniel, Tyler Grisham, Miguel Chavis, and Tony Elliott. However, it isn’t just the Clemson football coaching and support staff you have to look at.

Former co-offensive coordinator Jeff Scott took the head coaching job at the University of South Florida roughly six months ago and his staff is loaded with former Clemson players as well. Da’Quan Bowers, Xavier Dye, and Quandon Christian just to name a few.

This type of development is why you hear so many recruits say Clemson has a family feel to it and why many young men feel so comfortable at Clemson. Whether you are destined for NFL stardom like DeAndre Hopkins or are a role player like Miguel Chavis, Coach Swinney and Clemson make a lifelong commitment to you and your development.

Next. Transferring doesn’t lead to success for many former Tigers. dark

There are not many programs around the country that have coaching and support staffs full of their former players. This is just another reason why Clemson is so special.
