One of the best Clemson football players to not hear his named called during the 2020 NFL Draft still remains unsigned despite his talent.

The Clemson football program has produced a ton of talent over the years and has seen plenty of Tigers move on to have successful careers in the NFL.

Last week, we saw seven Clemson football players selected in the 2020 NFL Draft to continue their dreams of playing football professionally.

One of those players to not hear his named called, though, was OG Gage Cervenka.

Cervenka was snubbed out of an NFL Combine invite a few months ago and then was unable to effectively promote himself at the Clemson Football Pro Day, due to many NFL scouts not being able to be in attendance for the event.

Because of those circumstances, Cervenka was left undrafted.

It’s not just the fact that Cervenka wasn’t drafted, though. It’s the fact that- at least at the time of this writing- he still hasn’t been signed by an NFL organization.

Cervenka should’ve been one of the first undrafted free-agents off the board. He should have had many franchises calling him the minute the draft was over attempting to sign him. Instead, it just seems like he is being vastly overlooked.

What people don’t realize is that Gage Cervenka was the strongest player on the Clemson football team the past couple of seasons. Not only was his strength evident among the Tigers, it was seen throughout his career against many top opponents.

No matter who he faced, Cervenka found a way to open up holes and competed. His strength, football IQ and physicality were traits that the Tigers could always rely upon.

In my opinion, Cervenka was the best undrafted free-agent in this prospect class. The fact he didn’t hear his named called is a travesty and there’s no doubt he will still have an opportunity to perform and make a roster at the next level.
