5-star CB Jason Marshall has released his top-three schools and Clemson football made the group. Here’s the latest on the talented prospect.

The 2021 Clemson football recruiting class is ranked among the top of the nation and there’s no reason to believe the Tigers will cool off as we head into the summer.

The Clemson football coaching staff has heavily recruited several targets and are keying in on recruits as we head into the next portion of the cycle.

5-star CB Jason Marshall is among those defensive backs that the Tigers are recruiting and he released his top-three schools earlier this week.

Marshall, a Miami, Florida native, released a top-three group that included Clemson, Alabama and Florida. The Tigers made an offer to the 5-star defensive back in June of 2019.

Marshall is a 6-foot-2, 180-pound cornerback who can line up and play different positions. He’s considered the No. 3 cornerback in the nation, according to the 247 Sports’ Composite Player Rankings.

At this point, all signs point to Florida being the team to beat for his services. All three crystal balls put in by 247 Sports’ recruiting analysts have predicted the Gators and it’s easy to see why. Florida was one of his first offers as they made the scholarship offer back in October of 2018.

It’s interesting to see that Miami is not a part of this top group. Marshall has several visits throughout his recruitment to Miami, but it seems pretty clear that the 5-star defensive back is looking for a program that will give him an inside-track to the NFL.

The Clemson football coaching staff typically waits until later in the recruiting cycle to begin zeroing in on defensive back targets- as that position is normally one of the last to sign- and it will be interesting to see where Marshall falls on the Tigers’ board.
