The 2020 Clemson football team enters the season as the sole favorite to win the National Championship, according to Vegas odds.

The 2020 Clemson football team is considered one of the top favorites to get back to the CFB Playoff because of the Tigers’ returning talent and skill.

Clemson will return talented players like Trevor Lawrence, Travis Etienne, Tyler Davis, Lyn-J Dixon, Amari Rodgers, Justyn Ross, James Skalski and Derion Kendrick. In addition to all of the talent returning, the Tigers will be adding one of the best freshmen classes in the history of College Football to the mix.

Add in the fact that Clemson football will be looking to avenge a loss in the National Championship game last year against the LSU Tigers, and you can see why Dabo Swinney‘s club is considered one of the odds-favorites to get back to the CFB Playoff and compete for the golden scepter.

247 Sports released an article detailing the updated CFB title odds for the 2020 season and, to no one’s surprise, Clemson football remained on top.

Here’s a look at the top-10:

  1. Clemson (+285)
  2. Ohio State (+350)
  3. Alabama (+465)
  4. Georgia (+850)
  5. Oklahoma (+1400)
  6. Florida (+1400)
  7. LSU (+2200)
  8. Penn State (+2200)
  9. Oregon (+2600)
  10. Michigan, Texas, Auburn, Notre Dame (+4500)

As you can see from looking at the odds, it’s pretty clear that Clemson, Ohio State and Alabama are the favorites coming into this season. The Tigers and Buckeyes have the most returning talent of any of the programs in the country and seem to be on a potential collision course for one another in the CFB Playoff.

Though Alabama missed last year’s playoff, the Crimson Tide return Nick Saban- and a plethora of talent- and they’ll be considered one of the top teams coming into this season.

After that, you have a bit of a drop-off with Georgia coming in fourth and then Oklahoma and Florida tied at sixth. LSU, Penn State and Oregon have better than +3000 odds and then you get to several teams who are sitting at a tie.
