Clemson football fans will be keeping up with former Tigers over the course of this spring to see where they land in the NFL.

The Clemson football program has been dishing out tons of talent in the NFL over the course of the last few seasons.

The Tigers are now one of the ‘hot-beds’ for talent pools when NFL scouts come looking for potential prospects in the draft and we’ve seen several Clemson football players given chances, not just as draft selections but as undrafted free-agents, because of the program’s prestige.

As we approach the NFL Combine– which is set to take place Sunday, February 23 and run through Monday, March 2- here’s a look at where former Clemson football players are landing in pre-combine NFL Mock Drafts.

When looking at these mock drafts- which typically don’t go more than three rounds- there have been three Clemson football players included in the vast majority- S/LB Isaiah Simmons, WR Tee Higgins and CB A.J. Terrell.

Here’s a look at where they’re being selected, according to the latest pre-combine NFL Mock Drafts.

Isaiah Simmons

  • CBS: Round 1, Pick No. 5 (Washington Redskins via trade)
  • Draft Wire: Round 1, Pick No. 7 (Carolina Panthers)
  • NFL.com: Round 1, Pick No. 9 (Jacksonville Jaguars)
  • The Draft Network: Round 1, Pick No. 9 (Jacksonville Jaguars)

As you can see through some of the mentioned mock drafts, Simmons is a lock to be a top-10 pick and could potentially soar as high as No. 3 before it’s all said and done.

Tee Higgins

  • Draft Wire: Round 1, Pick No. 21 (Philadelphia Eagles)
  • NFL.com: Round 2, Pick No. 33 (Cincinnati Bengals)
  • The Draft Network: Round 1, Pick No. 24 (New Orleans Saints)

Tee Higgins is a bit of a ‘tweener between a first-round lock and a second-round pick. Higgins is more than likely going to be selected in the early-to-mid-20s, but could find himself looking at a second-round selection if things fall into place and wide receivers aren’t taken quite as early as many think they will be.

A.J. Terrell

  • Draft Wire: Round 3, Pick No. 66 (Washington Redskins)
  • NFL.com: Round 2, Pick No. 51 (Dallas Cowboys)
  • The Draft Network: Round 2, Pick No. 53 (Philadelphia Eagles)

A.J. Terrell is considered by most experts to be a solid second-round pick, though he was selected at the beginning of the third-round by Draft Wire.

Look for Terrell to be one of the mid-to-late second-rounders taken in the draft with an opportunity to improve his stock at the NFL Combine.
