How does Clemson football QB Trevor Lawrence come away with the Heisman Trophy in 2020? Here’s a look at his path to winning the award.

The Clemson football program doesn’t place emphasis on individual awards and instead focuses on winning as a team.

That’s always been the case with Dabo Swinney, and that’s always going to be the case.

That being said, Clemson football QB Trevor Lawrence comes into the spring with potential for a special season. Lawrence is considered one of the favorites to win the 2020 Heisman Trophy and there’s no reason to believe that he couldn’t come away with the honor.

Here’s a look at what Trevor Lawrence must do to win the award.

Step 1: Win Out

First, the Clemson football team needs to win out.

The Tigers are likely not going to be in the CFB Playoff without an undefeated season in 2020, especially with the overall perception of the schedule.

That being said, if Lawrence wins out and continues his impressive winning record (only losing one game in his career), that will influence the thoughts of the voters. After all, the Heisman is nothing more than a popularity contest, so Lawrence would need as much ‘dazzle’ as possible.
