QB Chase Brice announced that he would be entering the NCAA Transfer Portal, but he will leave Clemson football on legendary terms.

Clemson football QB Chase Brice announced that he would be entering the NCAA Transfer Portal Thursday afternoon.

Brice, who is set to graduate in May, will begin looking at his options in the spring before ultimately making a decision and enrolling at another school in the summer after graduating. As a grad-transfer, he’ll be allowed the play immediately and still has two years of eligibility remaining.

Though many Clemson football fans hate to see Brice go, there’s no doubt he’ll be leaving the program with ‘legendary status’ attached to his name.

5. He’s transferring the right way

In a day-and-age of the NCAA Transfer Portal where we seemingly are seeing players enter the portal at the drop of a hat, Brice decided to transfer the ‘right way.’

He didn’t do it on bad terms, it wasn’t a decision to shine the spotlight on himself.

Instead, he humbly let the season play out and then sent out a heartfelt letter to Clemson football nation announcing his decision.

There are a lot of players in the transfer portal- not all of them, mind you- who didn’t necessarily maintain their class and composure when making the decision, but Brice absolutely did that and did everything in a way that was respectful to his teammates, while making the best decision for himself.
