The Clemson football program may have 29-straight wins, but LSU fans are confident that streak will come to an end Monday night in New Orleans.
The Clemson football program may be the most successful in the nation over the past half-decade, but LSU fans are confident it won’t be the Tigers of the ACC coming away with a win Monday night in the National Championship.
LSU is currently listed as a 6-point favorite over the defending champions, courtesy of the Action Network.
Clemson will face a heavily hostile crowd in New Orleans and it seems that the odds are stacked up high against the Tigers in this one. After all, LSU’s offense is considered the greatest of all-time by many.
Here’s a look at what many LSU fans are saying about the match-up as we inch closer to kickoff.

Here’s our thoughts on a few of the tweets:
If you think this game isn’t going to be an all-out war and if you believe Clemson won’t even compete, you’re sadly mistaken. LSU isn’t beating Clemson by three touchdowns, it’s just not happening.
For those talking about LSU’s performance against Oklahoma: LSU put 63 points on a playoff team. Yes, that’s true. That same playoff team gave up 48 points to Kansas State. Let’s not pretend the Sooners have any semblance of a defense. They haven’t all year.
Lastly, it’s fine to offer analysis and believe your team is going to win the game, but to suggest that LSU has the better running back is laughable. You can make arguments for other positional units on both sides, but the running back isn’t even a question.
Travis Etienne is one of the most prolific play-makers in the country and anybody who thinks otherwise obviously hasn’t been watching Clemson football or paying attention.
There are plenty of fans who offer reasonable analysis when it comes to this game, but many LSU fans are coming into this one with a false sense of security that’s going to go away rather quickly.
