The Clemson football team will take on the LSU Tigers for an opportunity to win back-to-back National Championships Monday night.

The Clemson football program will have an opportunity to take down yet another ‘unstoppable force’ Monday night in the National Championship.

The Tigers are currently on a 29-game winning streak and are looking to win their second-straight National Title, this time in New Orleans.

Here’s a look at five areas Clemson football can exploit against the LSU Tigers.

5. False sense of confidence?

There’s something about this game that makes me think LSU might be entering the match-up with a bit of a false sense of confidence.

The SEC Tigers are the overwhelming betting favorite and are currently considering 6-point favorites, courtesy of the Action Network.

The reason? LSU absolutely demolished Oklahoma.

Though we all know that Oklahoma couldn’t match-up with any of the other three teams in the CFB Playoff field, the Tigers have been absolutely immortalized for scoring 63 points on a bad Sooner defense.

This isn’t to say that LSU isn’t good. This isn’t to say that the Tigers won’t score a lot of points against Clemson football.

It is to say that I think winning that game big- and all the love nationally that has ensued- could lead to some LSU players taking this one a bit for granted. After all, Ed Orgeron’s club has never been in this circumstance before.
