3. LSU’s defense is trending upwards
LSU’s defense has been an enigma all season.
The Tigers have talent all over the field, but have had some suspect holes all season. That being said, they’re trending in the right direction.
LSU did an excellent job closing out the regular season against Texas A&M and then followed that a couple of weeks later by basically shutting down Georgia in the SEC Championship game- which isn’t all that hard to do.
That being said, the Tigers held a spread-offense in Oklahoma to just 28 points and it’s clear that the unit has played with more confidence as of late.
LSU has some deficiencies along that defensive unit, but you don’t like that they have momentum coming into the game.
