The only thing standing in the way of another National Championship for Clemson football is LSU. Here’s a little insight to the Tigers’ scout team.

The Clemson football program is just one win away from winning back-to-back National Championships and winning three of the last four National Titles.

The only thing standing in the Tigers’ way? The LSU Tigers.

The Clemson football team will take on the LSU Tigers in New Orleans on Monday, January 13 for all the marbles.

With the midyear enrollees arriving on campus this week, Dabo Swinney told 5-star QB DJ Uiagalelei that he will be an important piece as the Tigers prepare to take on LSU, led by QB Joe Burrow.

"“I talked to Dabo this weekend when I went out to Arizona for the game,” Uiagalelei told 247Sports. “He’s like, ‘You’re going to make a great Joe Burrow for us on Monday and Tuesday.’ I was like, ‘Yeah. Whatever I have to do for the team.’”"

Though Uiagalelei and Burrow are different style quarterbacks, it certainly won’t hurt to have a QB of his caliber running the scout team a little bit, imitating Joe Burrow.

Uiagalelei has an extremely strong arm and could work those Clemson defensive backs and help the Tigers get a game-like experience in practice in a few reps. He’ll likely be used sparingly, though, as we all know Brent Venables likes to jump in and play some scout team quarterback, as well.

For those wondering, the early enrollees cannot play in the game in a couple of weeks.

They can participate in practice- as we’ll see all of them do- but their roles will be on the scout team as they just touch base with the team after enrolling.

Next. The Fiesta Bowl was a tale of two QBs. dark

The early enrollees will go through winter workouts with the team and then will participate in spring practice this coming March when the Clemson football program begin going through spring sessions.
