The 2019 Clemson football team is in the CFB Playoff, but it didn’t come without some freezing cold takes. Here are five of our favorites.

Analysts across the country have been discrediting and disrespecting Clemson football for the majority of the 2019 season.

Though the Tigers have yet to lose a game, analysts continue to harp on their ‘weak schedule’ and plenty of other aspects.

As we look back at the 2019 Clemson football season, here are five of our favorite ‘freezing cold takes’ pertaining to the Tigers.

5. All the individual snubs

First, let’s start with one of the most recent ones.

Not only national analysts, but national award organizations, have been extremely cold to the Tigers.

Travis Etienne was left off the finalist list for the Doak Walker Award, given to the best running back in the nation, despite having the highest YPC average in the nation.

Isaiah Simmons was never even considered for the Heisman Trophy despite being potentially the best defensive player in the nation, no offense to Chase Young.

Though Trevor Lawrence had his struggles early on, Lawrence worked through and has put up some impressive numbers over the last half of the season. He was completely ignored on the AP All-American team and was the only CFB Playoff quarterback to not be a Heisman finalist or selected on the All-American team.
