The Clemson football team will have an open date this weekend, but there’s still plenty of College Football for Tiger fans to watch in Week 13.

Each week of the season, Rubbing the Rock gives Clemson football fans a TV Guide with games in each time slot that may be of interest to watch outside of Tiger Town.

This weekend, the Clemson football team will have an open date, but that won’t stop Tiger fans from watching several other interesting matchups from around the country.

Here’s a look at our TV Guide for week 13 of the College Football season.

Noon Slate

  • #8 Penn State at #2 Ohio State, 12 p.m. (FOX)
  • Western Carolina at #5 Alabama, 12 p.m. (ESPN)
  • #10 Minnesota at Northwestern, 12 p.m. (ABC)

The noon slate will be dominated in viewership by Fox with that Penn State-Ohio State matchup. While the game has lost some luster, it still plays a significant role in terms of the CFB Playoff. The Buckeyes could solidly cement themselves in the field-of-four with a win, but wouldn’t necessarily be eliminated with a loss.

The Nittany Lions, on the other hand, have to win the game just to give themselves a chance at getting back in the CFB Playoff race.

Afternoon Slate

  • Boston College at #16 Notre Dame, 2:30 p.m. (NBC)
  • Texas A&M at #4 Georgia, 3:30 p.m. (CBS)
  • Texas at #14 Baylor, 3:30 p.m. (FS1)
  • UCLA at #23 USC, 3:30 p.m. (ABC)
  • #25 SMU at Navy, 3:30 p.m. (CBSSN)
  • Pittsburgh at Virginia Tech, 3:30 p.m. (ESPN 2)

If you’re looking for the game with the most weight in terms of bearing on Clemson football, then you’ll want to tune in and watch the Pitt-VT matchup. The loser of the game is essentially eliminated from ACC Coastal contention.

In addition, many Tiger fans will likely watch Texas A&M-Georgia to see if the Aggies could provide a little bit of chaos in terms of the playoff picture here in the late part of November.

Night Slate

  • Arkansas at #1 LSU, 7 p.m. (ESPN)
  • #6 Oregon at Arizona State, 7:30 p.m. (ABC)
  • Duke at Wake Forest, 7:30 p.m. (ACC Network)
  • TCU at #9 Oklahoma, 8 p.m. (FOX)
  • #7 Utah at Arizona, 10 p.m. (FS1)

Honestly, there’s not a great night-capper for this week.

Next. 5 programs the ACC should consider adding in the future. dark

The top matchups of the weekend will take place during the afternoon, but perhaps we’ll see an upset here in the night slate of one of these CFB Playoff contenders- Oklahoma, Oregon or Utah- that may make things interesting down the stretch.
