The Clemson football team will host the Wake Forest Demon Deacons Saturday afternoon. Here are our staff predictions for the ACC matchup.

The Clemson Tigers will take the field one last time at home this season when they host the Wake Forest Demon Deacons.

The game is slated to kickoff at 3:30 p.m. on ABC and features the Tigers as a heavy 34.5-point favorite over Dave Clawson’s group.

The Tigers will be looking to improve to 11-0 on the season and extend their impressive winning streak to 26 games. Here’s a look at our staff predictions for the ACC Atlantic matchup.

Shawn Spencer

Score: Clemson 56, Wake Forest 13

Reason: Trevor Lawrence and that offense will score plenty of points, but the cold weather may keep the Tigers from getting into the 60 range, perhaps they’re saving that point total for the South Carolina game. On the other side of the ball, Wake Forest is without its top two wide receiver options and the Tiger defense will continue its impressive dominance.

Nick Young

Score: Clemson 52, Wake Forest 17

Reason: After another dominating performance against NC State, The Tigers will look to keep their train rolling and take out Wake Forest, further staking their claim as one of the top teams in the nation.

Barry Shuck

Score: Clemson 34, Wake Forest 23

Reason: Wake has a good team and score point, but the Tiger defense is just too good.

Cole Little

Score: Clemson 52, Wake Forest 14

Reason: The Wake Forest Demon Deacons have been the surprise team of the ACC this season, but their shaky defense will likely not fare well against the Tigers’ high-powered offense at Memorial stadium on Saturday. With star Wake Forest wide receiver Sage Surratt set to miss the contest due to injury, the Demon Deacons do not stand a chance in Clemson’s final home game of the year.

Tyreese Ingram

Score: Clemson 52, Wake Forest 10

Reason: The Wake Forest offense has been prolific this season, but two important pieces will be missing on Saturday. Top receiver Sage Surratt (66 catches, 1,001 yards, 11 touchdowns) and top deep threat Scotty Washington (17.3 yards per catch, seven TDs) will both be sidelined and with the are 18 of the Deacs’ 25 receiving touchdown. Their absence will be too much to overcome against a very good Tiger defense.
