The Clemson football team will take on the NC State Wolfpack Saturday night in Raleigh. Here’s a look at the injury report for the Tigers.

The Clemson football team improved to 9-0 with a win over Wofford last weekend in Death Valley and now the Tigers will return to ACC play with a matchup against the NC State Wolfpack.

Led by Dave Doeren, NC State holds just a 4-4 record and is coming off a two-game losing streak to Wake Forest (44-10) and Boston College (45-24). In ACC play, NC State has given up at least 31 points in every game besides its one win, where the Wolfpack beat Syracuse 16-10.

Here’s a look at the injury report for Clemson football heading into the matchup with NC State.

Injury Report vs. NC State:

  • OL Blake Vinson (Out for season), Patella Injury
  • LB Bryton Constantin (Out for season), Torn ACL
  • DE Xavier Thomas (Expected to play), Concussion in past weeks
  • DB Denzel Johnson (Expected to play)
  • OL John Simpson (Expected to play), Sore Ankle

At this point, it looks as if Clemson football will be back to full-strength this week against NC State. The Tigers were without a few contributors- including a couple of starters- last week against Wofford, but that shouldn’t be the case this week.

Xavier Thomas is expected to play after being out for the last three weeks with a concussion. John Simpson rolled his ankle against Louisville, but played against Boston College. The Tigers held him out as a precaution last week against Wofford, but he’s expected back this week.

On the other sideline, NC State is depleted and extremely injured. The Wolfpack could be without several starters in its defensive backfield, though it seems that starting CB Nick McCloud– who didn’t practice earlier this week- is hoping to be on the field this weekend.
