Here’s our picks against the spread for some of the interesting games around the world of College Football during Week 8 of the season.

The Clemson football team will take on the Louisville Cardinals this Saturday, but there are plenty of other College Football games on the docket as well.

Because the vast majority of Tiger fans will not be making the trip up to Louisville, there will be plenty of opportunities to watch some of the most prominent College Football games around the country.

Each week, Rubbing the Rock gives you some spread predictions for the upcoming week. Here’s our picks against the spread for a few interesting games during College Football Week 8. All of our lines are courtesy of the Action Network.

College Football Week 8 Spread Predictions:

West Virginia at Oklahoma

Spread: Oklahoma -33

Spread Prediction:

Oklahoma comes into this West Virginia game a 33-point favorite. The Sooners defeated rival Texas this past weekend in the Cotton Bowl and are looking to continue their winning ways early in this season. There’s something about West Virginia that makes me think the Mountaineers will get up for this game. They likely won’t win, but I’ll take them to cover that huge spread.

Florida at South Carolina

Spread: South Carolina +5

Spread Prediction:

South Carolina is coming off one of the top wins in its program history. The Gamecocks upset Georgia between the Hedges last week, but they won’t ride the emotion to a win this week. This game will be fairly close, but Florida ends up winning in Columbia and takes the Gamecocks back off of cloud-nine, covering the spread.

Oregon at Washington

Spread: Washington +2.5

Spread Prediction:

If the Pac-12 is going to have any hope of getting a team in the College Football Playoff, they’re going to need a team like Oregon, Utah or Washington to run the table. That begins with this matchup. Washington is at home, but Oregon has the better QB. I’ll take Justin Herbert and the Ducks to pull off the win and cover that 2.5-point spread.

Baylor at Oklahoma State

Spread: Oklahoma State -3.5

Spread Prediction:

Baylor is undefeated and ranked, but it won’t last. The Bears will play their first real competition Saturday and Oklahoma State will cover the 3.5-point spread as a home favorite.
