Clemson Football: Pick Against the Spread vs. FSU 2019
The Clemson football team will host the Florida State Seminoles Saturday. Here’s our pick against the spread for the ACC matchup.
The Clemson football team will look to remain undefeated when the Tigers host Florida State Saturday afternoon in Death Valley.
The ACC matchup is scheduled to kickoff at 3:30 p.m. live on ABC. Florida State comes into the game with a 3-2 record, looking to provide a major upset.
The last time we saw the Clemson football team, they struggled to escape with a 21-20 victory over UNC in Chapel Hill. The Tigers will look to get the bad taste of their mouth and silence some of the doubters when they take on the Seminoles.
Here’s a look at our spread prediction for the matchup with Florida State.
Clemson vs. FSU Pick Against the Spread:
Current Spread: Clemson -27
Spread Prediction:
The money coming in on this spread is split. 51 percent believe the ‘Noles will beat the spread and 49 percent are taking the Tigers to cover.
After watching Clemson football play two weekends ago, it’s pretty obvious to see why analysts think Florida State will compete. After all, the Seminoles have talent on their roster and will come into this one highly-motivated.
That being said, Clemson is going to look like a different team Saturday afternoon. The Tigers will cover this sizeable spread, but it will be close to the number.
Over/Under: 59.5
Over/Under Prediction:
The vast majority of money is coming in on the ‘under.’ Part of that has to do with the Tigers’ defense and the way the unit has excelled this season. The other part has to do with the Clemson offense and the way the unit has had trouble getting in sync to this point in the year.
It’s certainly safer to go with trends and that would mean taking the ‘under,’ but there’s something about this game that has me wanting to take the ‘over.’
The offense is going to be much-improved and I think we could see them score a good amount of points. I’ll take the ‘over’ in this one, but wouldn’t be surprised at all to see the ‘under’ trend continue.
