The Clemson football team didn’t cover the spread for just the second time all season when they took on the North Carolina Tar Heels Saturday afternoon.
The Tigers came into the ACC match up as 26.5-point favorites, but left as just a one-point victory. With the win, Clemson football remained undefeated on the season straight-up, but fell to 3-2 on the season against the spread.
When Clemson returns to action next weekend following an open date this Saturday, the Tigers will be taking on the Florida State Seminoles. The game is slated to kick off at either 3:30 p.m. or 7:30 p.m. depending on what the television networks decide following this weekend’s games.

Florida State has shown some promise the past couple of weeks, with wins over NC State and Louisville. The Seminoles are looking to get to a bowl game in year two under Willie Taggart and it should be expected that they’ll be looking for revenge after getting completely blown out by Clemson last season in Tallahassee.
Even though Clemson is a heavy favorite, this is still a rivalry game.
