The 2019 College Football season is off and running. Here’s our pick against the spread for several prominent Week 3 games.

The 2019 College Football season is underway and we’ve seen a few fun game to this point.

Over the course of the past two weeks, we are 5-4 overall in our spread predictions. We’ll be looking to improve off of last week’s abysmal 1-3 record and get a little over .500 vs. the spread.

Here’s a look at five of the most prominent College Football games- both in conference and around the nation– and our spread prediction for each of those games. Make sure you check Rubbing the Rock for our full spread prediction for Clemson vs. Syracuse.

College Football Spread Predictions:

North Carolina at Wake Forest

Current Spread: Wake Forest -3

Spread Prediction:

This is not a conference game. For those of you that may not know, North Carolina and Wake Forest scheduled each other as part of a non-conference match up.

The Tarheels come into this one flying high with wins over South Carolina and Miami. Wake Forest hasn’t been tested yet against Utah State and Rice. This one could go either way, but we’re going to take Wake Forest to win the game and cover the spread.

Alabama at South Carolina

Current Spread: South Carolina +25.5

Spread Prediction:

South Carolina has new life in the form of Ryan Hillinski. Hillinski played a superb game against Charleston Southern last weekend and now all of a sudden Gamecock fans think they have a shot against Alabama.

Unfortunately for them, a reality check is in order. Alabama wins the game and covers that 25.5 point spread in Columbia.

Florida State at Virginia

Current Spread: Virginia -7.5

Spread Prediction:

Virginia is a 7.5-point favorite against Florida State and, really, that’s like stealing. The Cavaliers are by far the better team in this game and I think they win by double-digits.

Iowa at Iowa State

Current Spread: Iowa -2

Spread Prediction:

Iowa is a two-point favorite against Iowa State at home. No one really knows much about either team at this point, but Iowa State struggled to beat UNI. The Hawkeyes are going to win this one and are rightly favored.

Pittsburgh at Penn State

Current Spread: Penn State -17.5

Spread Prediction:

Penn State is going to win this game, but that 17.5 point spread is much larger than it should be. Pittsburgh competed with Virginia for a little while and that will be the case in this one. The Panthers won’t win the game outright- barring something unforeseen- but we’re taking them to cover that 17.5 point spread.
