The Clemson football team will take on the Syracuse Orange Saturday evening. Here are five Tigers to watch in the match up.

The Clemson football team will take on the Syracuse Orange at 7:30 p.m. Saturday in the Carrier Dome.

The road match up will be the first away game of the season for the Tigers. The Carrier Dome is typically known for being loud due to its confined space. The Tigers will have to deal with the noise of an expected near-capacity crowd Saturday evening as Syracuse looks to pull off a huge upset.

The Clemson football team is coming off an impressive 24-10 win over Texas A&M. The Aggies were ranked inside the top-12 at the time and didn’t score their first touchdown of the game until less than 10 seconds left in the match up.

On the other end of the spectrum, Syracuse is coming off an embarrassing 63-20 loss to Maryland. The Orange didn’t look impressive offensively and completely fell apart defensively.

That being said, this is still a huge match up. The winner of this game takes the inside track to winning the ACC Atlantic Division and, with the weakness of the ACC, Clemson may very well need to go undefeated to make it back to the CFB Playoff. That’s a different discussion for a different day, though.

Here’s a look at five Tigers that Clemson football fans should keep their eyes on throughout the evening when the Tigers and Orange match up in the Carrier Dome.
