The 2019 College Football season is in full swing. Over the course of the weekend, we will have football on in some form every single day.

After a long offseason wait, College Football has finally returned.

The season was kicked off with a ‘Week Zero’ slate last Saturday and then followed up with a few Thursday night games, which included Georgia Tech at Clemson.

Over the course of the 2019 College Football season, we will be giving you picks against the spread for some of the top games around the country, as well as the conference.

As we head into the weekend, here are our College Football Spread Predictions for Week 1.

College Football Spread Predictions:

Duke vs. Alabama (Atlanta, GA)

Current Spread: Alabama -32.5

Spread Prediction:

There’s always one rule when it comes to College Football spreads: Bank on Alabama until they prove you wrong, especially early on in the season. Even with suspensions and injury losses, the Crimson Tide won’t have any trouble taking care of Duke and covering the spread, which has actually dropped a few points.

South Carolina vs. North Carolina (Charlotte, NC)

Current Spread: South Carolina -11

Spread Prediction:

South Carolina is clearly the better team compared to North Carolina. The Tarheels are recruiting on the right track under Mack Brown, but they aren’t there and aren’t going to be there for quite some time.

The Gamecocks should win this game rather easily, but they won’t. North Carolina will stick around and keep it uncomfortable for the majority of the match up. This one either ends up being a 10-point South Carolina victory or a 14-point South Carolina victory. We’re going to go with the Tarheels to cover the spread, but don’t feel good about it.

Oregon vs. Auburn (Arlington, TX)

Current Spread: Auburn -3.5

Spread Prediction:

Oregon and Auburn are two teams that you just don’t know what to expect at this point. Some have Oregon winning the Pac-12 and competing for a CFB Playoff berth. Others have the Ducks going 9-3 and not even winning their own division.

Some have Auburn reemerging as a legitimate top-10 team. Others don’t even believe the Tigers will be ranked by the end of the season.

In the end, I have a feeling that spread offense causes some trouble for Auburn and Oregon wins the game outright, but it wouldn’t surprise me either way.

Houston at Oklahoma

Current Spread: Oklahoma -23

Spread Prediction:

Oklahoma has a new quarterback at the helm in Jalen Hurts. Is he ready? Well, even if he’s not, the Sooners shouldn’t have much trouble with Houston.

The Sooners should cover that 23 points and come away with a nice victory to build off of heading into Week 2.

Virginia at Pittsburgh

Current Spread: Pittsburgh +2.5

Spread Prediction:

If you want a ‘steal of the week,’ this game is it, in my opinion. Virginia is just a 2.5-point favorite against Pittsburgh.

The Cavaliers are going to be a top-20 team this season, in my opinion, and I expect them to beat Pittsburgh by much more than three points on Saturday.

Look for Virginia to win this one by double digits and easily cover that spread.
