What will the weather look like for the Clemson football season opener? Here’s the weather report for the Tigers’ match up with Georgia Tech.
The 2019 Clemson football season is finally upon us. The Tigers will return to Death Valley for the first time in nearly nine months to open up the season with a match up against the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets.
Georgia Tech comes into the season with a brand new look and coaching staff. Following the retirement of Paul Johnson, the Yellow Jackets brought in Temple Head Coach Geoff Collins. Though Georgia Tech had been defined by its triple-option offensive scheme over the past decade, Collins has elected to change things up.
The Yellow Jackets are expected to run something similar to a spread or pro-style offense, but that won’t be an easy adjustment to make as far as personnel is concerned.
Though analyzing X’s and O’s is important, there are also other important factors to be considered when talking about this match up. With that in mind, let’s take a look at the weather report for the Clemson football home opener.
Clemson vs. Georgia Tech: Weather Report

Low: 62

Thoughts:
This very well may be the perfect night for a Clemson football game. No rain is expected in the area for any long amount of time (there always could be a scattered shower in the afternoon) and we’re talking about a day that has a high of just 84. By the time the game kicks off Thursday evening, the temperature will be the high-70s and will drop into the high-60s before the end of the match up.
Considering this is August in Clemson, we probably couldn’t ask for much better.
Fans should enjoy a fairly cool climate (at least compared to regular summer temperatures) and that should make for a nice afternoon of tailgating and evening of football in Death Valley.
