Clemson Football: Tigers enter final day of fall camp 2019

The 2019 Clemson football preseason camp will come to an end today. The Tigers will now turn their attention fully to preparing for Georgia Tech.

The 2019 Clemson football season is just a little more than a week away from kicking off.

The Tigers have gone through the worst of fall camp and came out on the other side. The team will officially have their last practice of preseason camp before turning their attention to Georgia Tech.

Wednesday will mark the official start of ‘game week’ for the Tigers as they begin to prepare for a matchup with the Yellow Jackets that will kick off at 8 p.m. next Thursday in Death Valley live on the ACC Network.

Throughout fall camp, the Clemson football coaches focused on developing the team as a whole. They encouraged competition and wanted to see every player to develop and prove what they were capable of doing this season for the Tigers.

Now, the coaches will begin to shorten the rotation.

Throughout the majority of fall camp, Clemson football had three different teams going through drills and working. Now, the coaches will have two major teams and begin to prepare the players in accordance to how they’re going to see playing time.

Competition will still abound and several position battles will continue through the season, but we’re going to see a much more focused and concise approach, especially as the Tigers enter game week.

The beginning of football season is officially upon, Clemson football fans.

After today, the Tigers will be in ‘game week’ mode. That means they’ll be scouting Georgia Tech- though it’s expected they’ve already done scouting work before now- and getting ready for a real game.

It won’t be long now before we see thousands of Tiger fans donning orange setting up tailgates and entering Death Valley for the first matchup of the season, a night game nonetheless.
