The 2019 Clemson football team is considered one of the favorites to get back to the CFB Playoff. Here are five burning questions heading into the season.

The 2019 Clemson football team is one of the Vegas odds’ favorites to get back to the CFB Playoff.

If the Tigers accomplish the feat, they will be playing in the playoff for a fifth-straight season. In the last four seasons, Clemson has competed in three National Championship games and has come with two National Championship victories.

The most recent came this past January when the Tigers handily defeated the Alabama Crimson Tide 44-16 in Santa Clara, CA.

The 2019 Clemson football team will look to build off of last year’s success with a new look. The Tigers will be replacing the vast majority of their starting defense from a year ago and will be looking for new leaders to step up on both the offensive and defensive sides of the ball.

That being said, there are plenty of reasons for optimism. The Tigers return some extremely talented skill position players and have several All-American caliber players on both sides of the ball ready to emerge.

Clemson football will take the field for the first time Thursday, Aug. 29 against the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets in Death Valley. The game will be the debut matchup for the newly-launched ACC Network and will be featured nationally.

As we prepare for the opening of Tiger football season, here are five burning questions heading into 2019.
