Earlier this week, Alabama LB Dylan Moses said that the toughest game of his career was against Georgia, not against Clemson football.

Alabama LB Dylan Moses told the media at SEC Media Days this past week that Georgia was the toughest team he had ever played against in his collegiate career.

Though Moses was on the field for a 44-16 loss to Clemson football, he doubled down on the notion that the Tigers were a tough out for the Crimson Tide.

Moses said that he didn’t really believe that Clemson was better than Alabama, but instead that the Crimson Tide weren’t prepared for the matchup.

Many media analysts, as well as Clemson football players and fans alike, snapped back at those comments, but maybe there’s a grain of truth in them.

Here’s our theory for why the Georgia game was so much tougher in the eyes of Moses than the Clemson game.

A Very Tough Theory:

So, here it is: The reason Moses felt as if he was beaten up against Georgia was because of the fact that he actually had to play all four quarters.

You see, Alabama’s starters didn’t have to play all four quarters against any other team in the SEC because none were good enough to challenge the Crimson Tide.

Moses didn’t have to play all four quarters against Clemson, either, but that was for a different reason.

His team was beaten down so badly in just three quarters of football that the starters mainly began just looking on from the sideline as they watched the Tigers go in for one score after another. The game wasn’t as physically demanding on Moses because the Crimson Tide defense didn’t make much contact. They weren’t able to keep up with Clemson’s wide receiver so, in turn, they were just left in the dust.

He didn’t get worn down because the game was over before he had a chance. It was almost like he was back in the SEC schedule, except it was his team being beaten down.

Next. Media finally calling out Bama for excuses. dark

Honestly, that’s the only theory we can come up with for why he would have such a remark. Because it’s clear that Clemson football was the best team in the nation last season and that the Tigers were remarkably deeper, stronger, faster and more skilled than Alabama.
