1. Dalvin Cook (Class of 2014)

Out of the 10 decommitments in the past eight years, this is the one that hurts Clemson football fans the most, no doubt.

Dalvin Cook, a 5-star RB in 2014, was originally committed to the Tigers, but chose to decommit and ultimately ended up at Florida State. Cook came in the same class as Deshaun Watson.

Could you imagine a backfield that featured Deshaun Watson and Dalvin Cook at the same time? It would’ve been magical.

Though it’s fun to think about the ‘what-ifs,’ it seems that things worked out just fine for both parties. The Tigers went on to develop Wayne Gallman-who had signed a year earlier and had a stellar career with the Tigers- and they won a National Championship in 2016.

Cook was one of the nation’s top running backs- as was Gallman, we should point out- and ended up being drafted in the second round of the 2017 NFL Draft by the Minnesota Vikings.

It still would’ve been fun, though, to have a backfield that consisted of Watson, Cook and Gallman.
