4-star Clemson football WR target EJ Williams made his way to Tiger Town on Wednesday for the second session of Dabo Swinney’s camp.

4-star Clemson football WR target EJ Williams arrived in Tiger Town Wednesday for the second session of Dabo Swinney’s camp.

Williams, a WR prospect from Phenix City, Alabama, took in the sights and sounds of Clemson and was able to work out with some of the top recruits from the country while getting training from Tiger coaches and meeting with current Clemson football players.

One of Williams’ friends is current Clemson WR Justyn Ross, who played at the same high school as Williams.

Ross chose the Tigers over Alabama and Auburn just a year ago and then made a major impact as a freshman in Clemson football’s 44-16 win over the Crimson Tide in the National Championship back in January.

There’s much talk that Williams could follow in Ross’s footsteps before it’s all said and done.

Williams had been considered a Clemson lean during the spring, but recently told Bama Insider that Alabama would be his leader if he had to choose a school today. Williams released a top-seven just a few weeks ago that included Clemson, Alabama, Auburn, Florida, LSU, Oklahoma and Tennessee.

The visit has reportedly gone well to this point and it’s clear that Williams still has a high interest in Clemson.

Right now, it seems that the Tigers will compete with LSU and Alabama more than anyone else for his services. Williams is set to make a decision in August, so the commitment is just a couple of months away.

Williams is expected to be back in Clemson for the All-In Cookout in late July, which will be a huge indicator of where he’s at in his recruitment process. He is also expected to take visits, including a couple of officials, during the summer before it’s all said and done.
