The Clemson football team is an early Vegas favorite against Alabama, should the two programs match up for a fifth time in a row in the postseason.

The 2019 Clemson football team has the ability to be one of the best in school history.

The Tigers are coming off their second National Championship in the past three years and there’s no reason to believe that they plan on slowing down any time soon.

To make it three National Titles, though, it is very likely that Clemson football will have to go through Alabama. The Crimson Tide have been consistently in the national picture for a decade now and Nick Saban has always found ways to better his competition, but perhaps he has finally met his match with Clemson.

ESPN talked to the Golden Nugget, which just recently released a ton of spreads for the upcoming season, and asked what the spread would look like if the Tigers and Tide matched up on the field again in 2019.

Currently, the senior odds maker said that Clemson football would open as a 2-point favorite if the spread was being released today.

It makes sense that the Tigers would be the favorite after they dismantled Alabama in the last matchup between the two teams, but I would be willing to bet that most of the money would come in on the Tide there.

People believe in Nick Saban and it would most likely quickly jump to favoring Bama, perhaps around 1.5 points or so. Though I don’t expect the Tigers to be favorites if the two teams match up again this coming season, I do think Clemson will have a great chance at winning the game, which is what actually matters.

dark. Next. 4 new opponents we'd love to see in the CFB Playoff

With returners like Trevor Lawrence, Travis Etienne, Tee Higgins and Justyn Ross, Clemson will certainly be set to make a run to the CFB Playoff and beat the Tide again when it’s all said and done.
