Former NFL wide receiver Marvin Harrison’s son- Marvin Harrison Jr.- is showing early interest in the Clemson football program.

Marvin Harrison finished his NFL career with 1,102 receptions for 14,580 yards and 128 touchdowns with the Indianapolis Colts.

Harrison was an eight-time Pro Bowler and a three-time first-team All-Pro.

Now, Harrison has a son that is looking to follow in his footsteps.

Marvin Harrison Jr., a 4-star 2021 WR according to 247 Sports, told The Clemson Insider that he was hoping to take a visit to Clemson this summer. The plan is for the trip to be a couple of days. Harrison Jr. also said he is wanting to take a visit to LSU.

Currently, the Philadelphia, PA native is considered to be an Ohio State lean because the Buckeyes got in early with a scholarship offer.

Harrison Jr. already has scholarship offers from several programs from around the nation, including Ohio State, Arkansas, Baylor, Florida, Georgia Tech, Michigan, Penn State, Michigan State, Nebraska, Texas A&M, Syracuse, UCF and many others.

Typically, the Tigers don’t give out a lot of offers for the next cycle until the summer, at least. The coaching staff will identify its top targets early on and then adjust accordingly throughout the cycle.

Early Thoughts:

It’s too early in his recruitment to know where Harrison Jr. is going to end up. Ohio State is his most prominent offer right now, but that will change over the course of the next six months.

He is a 6-foot-4, 184 pound prospect that could potentially be one of the top wide receivers in the 2021 class.

The Clemson football coaching staff will want to get him on campus at some point this summer or in the fall to see if he is a fit for the program.

Harrison Jr. has the potential to develop into a skilled wide receiver. It will be interesting to see how his recruitment progresses, but it seems that he is showing some early interest in the Tigers.
