5-star Clemson football target Bryan Bresee, a defensive linemen from Demascus, Maryland, will announce his decision today.

One of the top targets in the 2020 Clemson football recruiting class will make his decision live today.

5-star DL Bryan Bresee will announce his college decision at around 2:45 p.m. in a school ceremony. Bresee, the 247 Sports’ Composite No. 1 overall player in the country, will be announcing live on CBS Sports HQ.

Bresee is considering Clemson, Michigan, Ohio State, Penn State, Alabama and Georgia.

According to 247 Sports’ crystal ball, Clemson football has a 96 percent chance of getting Bresee. Ohio State holds the other 4 percent in predictions.

Analysis:

You never know until the prospect announces their official decision, but I’m sure the Clemson football coaching staff feels good about their chances of landing Bresee.

Should he choose to commit to the Tigers, it would be a huge get.

Bresee has a wide-frame and could play on the interior or exterior of the defensive line. He is very strong, but his physicality isn’t the only skill that he possesses. Bresee has a quick twitch and is able to use athletic moves to get around the opposing linemen, as well.

That complete skillset makes him one of the most coveted prospects of the 2020 class.

If Bresee committed to the Tigers, Clemson would likely move past Alabama for the No. 1 spot in the 2020 class at least for the time being.

In addition to Bresee, Clemson football is recruiting two other 5-star defensive linemen heavily in Myles Murphy and Jordan Burch. Should he commit, the Tigers could potentially zero-in on one of those two prospects, though they would certainly like to land both.
