The 1979 class also had six players drafted in the NFL Draft, but had two first-round picks.

Jerry Butler and Steve Fuller were both taken in the first round, marking the first time in Clemson football history that two Tiger were taken in the first round.

In addition to those two first-rounders, Joe Bostic and Dwight Clark were also taken in that draft.

Clark went on to win two Super Bowls and is one of the greatest NFL players to ever have come from Clemson.
