5-star 2020 Clemson football target Justin Flowe released his list of top schools and included the Tigers as one of his finalists.

5-star 2020 Clemson football target Justin Flowe released a list of 12 programs that he is still considering Tuesday evening, with the Tigers making the list.

Flowe, a 5-star linebacker from Upland, California, posted the list on Twitter.

Joining the Tigers are Arizona State, Alabama, Florida, Georgia, LSU, Miami, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Oregon and USC.

Flowe visited Clemson last month and seemingly enjoyed his time in Tiger Town. Right now, Southern Cal is considered the staunch favorite to win his services.

Flowe is ranked as the No. 6 overall player in the nation, according to 247 Sports’ Composite Rankings, and is the No. 1 linebacker in the nation.

Analysis:

Narrowing down his list to 12 schools is a major step, but it also shows that Flowe is in no hurry to make a decision pertaining to what college he will ultimately go to.

He only has five official visits, so I would wait through the summer and fall to see where he ends up taking his official visits. Those five schools would be considered the top-five, in all likelihood.

Flowe did express the desire to come back to Tiger Town on an official visit later this fall and it would be good news for Clemson football if he so chose to come in during the season.

This won’t be an easy pick-up for the Tigers. Getting a guy out of California that has been considered a heavy USC lean for quite some time would be a huge feat, but one that shouldn’t necessarily be expected at this point.

Next. DE group looks terrifying following the spring. dark

Flowe is a very talented linebacker with the ability to develop into an elite NFL playmaker. It will be interesting to see how his recruitment progresses and what he does with these final 12 schools over the course of the next few months.
