2020 Clemson football target DJ Uiagalelei, a 5-star QB, officially announced that he would be making his way back to Tiger Town for another visit.

2020 Clemson football target DJ Uiagalelei will be on campus for the spring game in two weeks, the talented prospect officially announced on Twitter Sunday evening.

It’s been reported for a while that Uiagalelei was hoping to be back on campus for the spring game, but it means a lot for him to officially announce it.

The 5-star QB prospect out of Bellflower, California is believed to be favoring the Tigers at this point.

Uiagalelei is being recruited hard by several top schools around the nation, including Oregon and LSU. He has been recruited hard by Alabama, but doesn’t seem very interested in the Crimson Tide, who didn’t make his top-five. At the Under-Armor All-American camp, Uiagalelei said that Clemson and Oregon are his top-two right now with LSU tailing behind at third if he had to try to rank schools.

Uiagalelei told the media that he is expecting to make a decision around the beginning of the summer, but doesn’t have a defined timetable at this point.

Analysis:

While it’s not news that Uiagalelei will be on hand for Clemson football’s spring game in two weeks, it certainly is something worth noting.

As we said earlier, it has been reported for a while that he’d be coming to the spring game, but you never know for sure until the prospect announces it himself. Even in talks with the media, things change for high school recruits.

It will be good to see the talented 5-star get back on campus, this time presumably with his mother.

Uiagalelei has a powerful arm and would be a great addition for Clemson. I think he has the talent and ability to be special just like the two guys before him- Deshaun Watson and Trevor Lawrence.
