The 2020 Clemson football recruiting class is still taking shape, but 4-star running back Daniyel Ngata has expressed interest in being a Tiger.

The 2020 Clemson football recruiting class has the chance to be one of the best in school history.

The Tigers already have commitments from several 4-stars and top prospects from around the country and are in the running for a ton of stars, as well.

In the 2020 cycle, Clemson football will be looking to take two running backs.

The first two that most talk about when you talk about the Tigers’ board are 5-star Demarkcus Bowman and 4-star Jaylan Knighton, both Florida products.

Bowman is believed to be a heavy Florida lean, but he was impressed with Clemson during his latest visit, that included an official scholarship offer.

Knighton was formerly committed to Oklahoma, but decommitted from the Sooners to reopen his recruitment process. Knighton named Clemson football as the leader for his services, but things are still a ways off and he will be taking several visits before it’s all said and done.

One guy that doesn’t get talked about near as much that the Tigers may have high on their board is 4-star running back Daniyel Ngata, a product of Folsom, California. Ngata, the brother of Clemson football freshman Joe Ngata, is rated as the No. 2 all-purpose running back in the country by 247 sports and has a really good chance to be an elite running back and play-maker before it’s all said and done.

Next. Interior Defensive Line will be tested in 2019. dark

He hasn’t named a leader and only has one crystal ball projection- to Washington- but Ngata would be a guy that I would keep my eye on.

Ngata likes Clemson and the prospect of playing with his brother. It’s certainly possible he could follow in Joe’s footsteps and join his brother across the country next season.
