Clemson football currently has five 4-star commitments on the offensive line in 2020. Those elite prospects are attempting to recruit the nation’s top QB to Tiger Town.

It never hurts a quarterback to see that he is going to have an elite offensive line to play behind.

5-star QB DJ Uiagalelei has been considered to be leaning towards Clemson football for quite some time and it certainly wouldn’t hurt to see the massive amount of talented offensive linemen the Tigers have garnered commitments from.

After needing a good class on the offensive line in 2020, the Tigers went and got an elite group.

Currently, Clemson football has five commitments- all 4-stars- along the offensive line in this class. That group includes Mitchell Mayes (OG), Paul Tchio (OG), Bryn Tucker (OG), Walker Parks (OT) and John Williams (OT). When you talk about positional rankings, Mayes is rated as the No. 4 guard in the nation. Tchio is No. 5. Tucker is No. 7.

At offensive tackle, both Parks and Williams are ranked inside the top-35 overall.

These are some really talented and physical commitments for Clemson football. Not only are they going to help continue to build the offensive line, these guys are trying to get Uiagalelei to play behind them.

A Twitter picture surfaced over the weekend that showed the five guys stamped on a moving truck heading straight for California and Uiagalelei.

It’s clear that they want to him to be the quarterback that they are protecting and that type of bond could be exactly what the Tigers need to ultimately win the 5-star QB’s commitment.

As I said earlier, it certainly can’t hurt the chances of seeing the elite quarterback commit to Clemson.

It will be interesting to see how Uiagalelei’s recruitment plays out. He is supposed to be back in Tiger Town for the Clemson football spring game in a few weeks.

Next. No, it's not time to stop the tombstone tradition. dark

He is taking his mother to let her see the campus, which is always a good sign. He’d be a huge pickup for the Tigers, no doubt, and could- alongside these offensive linemen- help recruit more elite prospects to Clemson.
