Clemson football freshman wide receiver Joe Ngata looks a lot like what Justyn Ross looked like when he stepped foot on campus last summer.

Re-runs are great.

Everyone enjoys getting to go back and watch television shows and movies that were made years ago. If we only got to see new stuff, we wouldn’t develop deep interests in specific television shows, for example. I can’t tell you how many people I know that have watched Friends or Seinfield re-runs over and over and over again.

Why? Because it never gets old for them.

Well, in the same way, it never gets old talking about the talent that Clemson football has at wide receiver. The Tigers continue to bring in- year after year- top wide receiver talent from all across the country, each class seemingly greater than the one before.

Now that Clemson football spring practice has begun, we’re getting to see our first look at three new wide receivers- Joe Ngata, Frank Ladson and Brannon Spector.

I can go ahead and tell you that Ngata is special.

It’s like watching a re-run…

Do you remember last season when Justyn Ross stepped on campus during the summer? Ross wasn’t a mid-year enrollee, but came in and made an impact right away.

He made some circus catches that went viral during scrimmages and practices, and that transferred over to the regular season where he saw consistent playing time and led the Tigers in receiving in the CFB Playoff.

Well, I’m here to tell you that the early reviews of Joe Ngata are very similar to that of Ross.

Next. Clemson could sign top three 2020 prospects. dark

It wouldn’t surprise me at all if we saw some of the same footage of Ngata coming out of Clemson football’s camp in the coming months. He is already ready to play. Ngata is a solid 210 pounds, which is actually thicker than what Ross came in as and it shows.

He is a guy that, in my opinion, is going to find his way on the field in some capacity or another sooner rather than later.
