1. Xavier Thomas, DE

Xavier Thomas comes into spring practice as the favorite to win a starting defensive end position.

I think he’s going to do much more than that.

At the end of this spring, I don’t just think that Thomas will have earned a starting position heading into the summer. I think he’s going to continue to impress the coaches to the point that he’s one of the focal points of the defense.

He’s going to be much more than a starter.

This is a guy that has a chance to be an All-American.

The coaches are going to formulate up schemes to free him to rush the passer. His athleticism and quick step is going to be noticed throughout spring and I expect him to have a huge spring.
