Clemson football cornerback Trayvon Mullen upped his NFL Draft stock with a solid performance, helping lead the Tigers in the CFB Playoff.

Trayvon Mullen is one of 11 former Clemson football players to be invited to the NFL Combine.

The combine, set to take place Tuesday, February 26 through Monday, March 4, will feature some of the top draft prospects from around the country. The event will allow prospects a chance to show scouts their skill sets, display their physical measurables and prove their mental capabilities.

Through the rest of this week and heading into next week, we will continue our series giving you a preview of each of these Tigers and how they will perform at the NFL Combine.

Today, let’s take a look at Mullen and what he is expected to do next week.

2019 NFL Combine Profile:

Name: Trayvon Mullen

Height: 6-foot-1

Weight: 194 pounds

Draft Grade: 1st-2nd Rounder

How will he perform?

Mullen vastly improved his NFL Draft stock with his performance in the postseason. At midseason, many were considering him to be a late 2nd or 3rd round draft pick, but with how he performed- particularly against Notre Dame and Alabama- he has moved up the board.

Mullen can now be found in the 1st round of most NFL Mock Drafts and I think scouts are beginning to take notice of his film.

He did an excellent job in 2018 shutting down opposing wide receivers, but I still think he has some development left. Mullen isn’t as polished coming out of college as Mackensie Alexander was, and that may keep a franchise from using their 1st round pick on him, but I do think that he’ll have a chance to prove himself.

There are a few franchises that are in need of defensive back depth and a talented cornerback. If that remains the case, there’s a good chance Mullen continues to up his draft stock.
