Clemson football leads early on for several elite 2020 prospects. Here’s a rundown of some of the latest updates surrounding the 2020 cycle.

The 2020 Clemson football recruiting class is shaping up to one of the most star-studded classes in school history.

The Tigers are getting good early returns on their recruiting efforts with this cycle and it’s clear that the coaching staff is chasing after some big time names.

While this class won’t be as big, numbers-wise, as in 2019, it still should be a decent size class. I expect the Tigers to sign between 18-23 prospects before it’s all said and done.

Here’s some of the latest updates surrounding Clemson football recruiting for the 2020 cycle.

  • Tigers lead for several elite recruits early on

Clemson is in the lead and competing for several elite recruits. The Tigers are in the lead for guys like 4-star WR Eddie Williams, 5-star LB Antoine Sampah, 4-star RB Jaylan Knight and 4-star CB Luke Hill, in addition to many others.

5-star QB DJ Uiagalelei and 5-star DE Jordan Burch have both seemingly been favoring Clemson for a decent amount of time now, as well.

  • Clemson is making a run

Outside of several guys that the Tigers are leading for, the Tigers are also making a run at a few guys that were previously considered to be favoring other schools.

That list includes 5-star DE Bryan Bresee, 5-star WR Julian Fleming, 4-star CB Henry Gray and a few others.

The Tigers also made the cut for 5-star LB Sav’ell Smalls, who announced his decision would be down to 12 schools.

Right now, Florida State and Alabama seem to be the favorites to win his services, but if Clemson football can get him on campus, you never know if you can swing a guy in your favor over the summer or in the fall.
