So, apparently several Clemson football players have formed together to create two intramural basketball teams. And they look dominant on paper.
The Clemson football team is coming off an impressive 44-16 win over the Alabama Crimson Tide in the National Championship game.
While the National Championship is the most prestigious award for the players, several Tigers are now chasing yet another trophy.
The Clemson University Intramural Basketball Championship.
That’s right, Tiger fans.
Several Clemson football players have come together to form what looks to be the most dominant intramural basketball team on the face of the planet.
After being left off the “Clemson football” intramural basketball team, it seems that several other Tiger players decided to form their own team– the ROY team- to compete with the first Tiger team.
The two groups will match up Sunday, February 10 at 7 p.m. in the Fike Recreation Center on Court 4, for anybody wondering.

Both of Clemson football’s intramural basketball teams are playing each other.
And yes, Trevor Lawrence’s first name is William pic.twitter.com/QQxgkVdx0N
Who’s playing?
So, the Clemson football intramural team is a group that features Justyn Ross, Tee Higgins, Cornell Powell, Diondre Overton, Isaiah Simmons, Jaelyn Lay (the new freshman tight end), Jordan Williams, Nyles Pinckney, Shaq Smith, Travis Etienne and Chase Brice- also known as William Brice.
To compete against that group, the ROY team was formed. That group features guys like Tremayne Anchrum, Darien Rencher, Jackson Carman, Joseph Ngata (the new freshman wide-out), K’Von Wallace and Trevor Lawrence- also known as William Lawrence, along with a few others.
This video went viral earlier this week of Tee Higgins almost throwing down a huge dunk in a game.
My interest in Clemson Football’s intramural basketball team continues. Here’s Tee Higgins almost shutting the league down on night one: (via @teehiggins5 IG story) pic.twitter.com/kSxLwQqV4V

Personally, I would love to see Tee Higgins and Justyn Ross playing in a basketball game. People forget that Ross was an Alabama state dunk champion. Those guys are extremely talented and their athleticism shows.
It’s good to see the guys having some fun and bonding together. That makes for a better overall team and gives them a chance to unload some of their stress, as well.
