The 2019 Reese’s Senior Bowl will take place this weekend. Here’s a look at the Clemson football players that will be participating in the game.
The 2019 Reese’s Senior Bowl will feature two Clemson football players.
Hunter Renfrow and Mark Fields will both be participating in the annual game this weekend and I think this will be a good thing for both of them.
Right now, I’d say that Renfrow may have a chance at getting drafted late. I don’t expect Fields to be drafted, but I do believe that they’ll both be given contracts as free agents if they do, indeed, go undrafted.
There’s a shot, though, with a few events like the Senior Bowl and like Pro Days, that Fields could work himself up the boards and that upside could be enough for a franchise to take a chance on him later in the draft.
Renfrow has proven to be a reliable option at wide receiver and I think you’ll see him either drafted late or he’ll be one of the most-sought-after players that go undrafted.
It should be fun to watch both of these guys compete in the Senior Bowl. I think Renfrow has a chance to have a big game. Those underneath options tend to be open in games like this, so it wouldn’t surprise me to see him get a few targets.
Fields should also have a great opportunity to get some looks from scouts and perform well on the platform given to him. Fields had a huge game on the biggest stage of them all against Alabama in the National Championship game.
That performance in and of itself earned him some money in the long run.
We will have more updates and analysis on both of these guys heading into the Senior Bowl. It will be fun to watch them play one more time with their Clemson football helmets on.
