Could Clemson football recruiting explode in the 2020 cycle? It may depend on a certain bond seemingly being formed between several elite prospects.

The 2020 Clemson football recruiting cycle could be one of the best in school history.

Every year, it seems like the Tigers continue to outperform themselves on the recruiting trail and 2020 could be the best year yet.

Currently, Clemson already has commitments from three 4-star guys and five overall prospects.

The Tigers will look to take somewhere between 18-23 players in this cycle and it’s clear that there are several star-studded prospects available to Clemson football.

Perhaps an intriguing development has to do with several key 5-stars in the 2020 class.

5-star quarterback prospect DJ Uiagalelei took to Twitter a couple of days ago and posted a photo of him with 5-star wide receivers Rakim Jarrett and Julian Fleming with the caption “the next generation of All In.”

5-star running back Zachary Evans got in and told Uiagalelei that they’d be needing a running back, as well.

Now, I don’t really read too much into this. These are high school kids that are having fun with the recruiting process, but I do think it’s telling that Uiagalelei would post it. I think it shows that he is strongly considering Clemson and maybe putting out feelers to see if there are a few other elite recruits interested in heading down to Clemson.

Right now, as far as where the recruitment process stands: I’d say that Clemson leads for Uiagalelei and has made big strides with Julian Fleming. It will be interesting to see how Evans’ recruitment progresses, but right now he is considered to be favoring Texas A&M. Ohio State is the favorite, currently, for Rakim Jarrett’s services.
