The Clemson football schedule for 2019 was released Wednesday. After looking at the slate of games, most experts agree: The Tigers should be back in the CFB Playoff.

After winning the National Championship in 2018, Clemson football will begin its title defense in 2019 with a home game against the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets on a Thursday night in August.

That matchup will be the first event televised on the newly ACC Network.

After that game, the Tigers will have a few extra days to get ready for Texas A&M at home before traveling to Syracuse for the first road game of the year a week later.

Here’s a look at the full 2019 Clemson football schedule, for those that may not have taken a look at it yet.

The road to back-to-back Nattys…

Everyone looking at the schedule without an unbiased eye pretty much see 12 Clemson football wins.

The Tigers are just more talented than every team on the schedule. The toughest games, according to most, will be against Texas A&M and at Syracuse. After that, at South Carolina or vs. Boston College are probably next on the list.

Basically, Clemson should go undefeated for a second-straight season assuming two factors:

  1. Health
  2. Focus

The only thing stopping Clemson from going undefeated in 2019 is injuries or lack of focus. There is no team talented enough on this schedule to beat the Tigers without the Tigers beating themselves.

If Clemson doesn’t show up ready to go, they could get beat any given week. If the Tigers suffer injuries, you could see them drop a game or two.

Those are the keys to this season. Can the team- which lost a lot of veterans- find a way to remain focused? Can they find a way to remain healthy with less depth at places like defensive tackle this season?

Those are the two questions. Those are your keys.
