The Clemson football team absolutely bullied Alabama in the National Championship game, winning the third Natty in school history.

Clemson football absolutely dominated the Alabama Crimson Tide Monday night in the National Championship.

AJ Terrell got the scoring started early in the first with a pick-six of Tua Tagovailoa. The Tigers would then trade scores with Alabama, actually falling behind 16-14 at one point.

But, that didn’t last.

Clemson went on a 30-0 run the rest of the way, defeating the Crimson Tide by a final score of 44-16.

Freshman Trevor Lawrence finished the night 20-of-32 passing for 347 yards and three touchdowns. Justyn Ross, also a freshman, led the Tigers in receiving with six catches for 153 yards and a touchdown.

Travis Etienne led the Tigers in rushing with 14 carries for 86 yards and two touchdowns.

Unreal…

Clemson football also became the first team in CFB history to go 15-0.

I know that we all thought the Tigers had a chance to beat Alabama. But, I don’t think anybody thought it would be this kind of blowout.

The Tigers took control in the second quarter and just never looked back.

Clemson’s defense absolutely showed up against Alabama. That Bama offense has been prolific all season and that Tiger defense just shut them down basically all night.

The Tigers came up with turnovers when they needed them and came away with big plays offensively, led especially by Justyn Ross.

Clemson football fans need to take this in. This isn’t just a win. This is a National Championship win on the biggest stage. Dabo Swinney just became the consensus best coach in Clemson history and it’s just unreal.

The emotions, thoughts and reality hasn’t even set in yet. The Tigers are here to stay and they’re not going anywhere. It’s been a fun ride and to finish off the season with a National Championship is something that just wouldn’t have ever been thought of a decade ago.
