Here is our official pick against the spread for Clemson football’s matchup against the Alabama Crimson Tide in the National Championship.

The Clemson football team will take on the reigning National Champion Alabama Monday night in Santa Clara.

The Tigers will be looking to even up the series with the Crimson Tide with a win, this time on the biggest stage of them all.

The two teams have played each of the last three years, twice in National Championship games and once- last year- in the semifinals.

Here’s a look at our pick against the spread for the game.

Spread Prediction:

Currently, Alabama is a 5-point favorite against the Tigers. The Crimson Tide opened up as 6.5 point favorites, but the consensus spread has dropped to just five now here on game day.

Honestly, I should’ve picked against the spread earlier in the week so I could’ve taken that higher number. I’m going to take the Tigers to cover that five-point spread.

I believe Clemson has a great chance not just to cover the spread and make this a one possession game, but I think the Tigers have a great chance to win the game outright.

It’s one of those deals where you have two great teams going up against one another. I think both Clemson and Bama are evenly matched across the board. That means we’re in for an all-out war.

I think you’re looking at a final score around 35-31 or 31-28. Something like that. Both of those scores are right at the number.

I’m going to pick the game to go over because of the talent of both offenses, but I wouldn’t be surprised at all if we saw the defenses find a way to make this game a lower scoring affair.
