Clemson football will play against Notre Dame Saturday afternoon in the Cotton Bowl. “Analyst” Lou Holtz talked about the game and gave his prediction.

The Clemson football team will take on the Notre Dame Fighting Irish Saturday afternoon in the Cotton Bowl.

The Tigers are currently 12.5 point favorites and are looking to advance to the National Championship game for a third time in four years.

While most analysts favor Clemson not just to win the game, but to win the game outright, there is one “analyst” who thinks differently.

That man is Lou Holtz.

Holtz talked about the game and much more with Mark May on The Crowd’s Line College Football Show and you’d never believe who he picked to win the Cotton Bowl.

That’s right, Clemson football fans. Lou Holtz didn’t just pick Notre Dame to win the game.

He picked the Irish to win by a score of 31-14. May picked the Tigers to win, just for reference.

Lou Holtz is a funny guy to listen to. I used to actually enjoy his Dr. Lou Segments on ESPN and I thought those were quite humorous.

But, that’s really all he’s good for as far analysis is concerned, a good laugh.

The game should be fun, but I don’t see anyway possible that Notre Dame just comes into the game routs Clemson like Holtz believes. If the Irish win, it will be in a shootout in which the two teams score a bunch of points, but they score a few more.

I think the Notre Dame defense will have trouble limiting Clemson’s offense and the Tigers should be able to move the ball down the field and score some points.
