It was announced that three Clemson football players had been suspended following failed drug tests. All of a sudden, Gamecock fans came out in full force.

Clemson football coach Dabo Swinney announced Monday that three Tigers are currently suspended following failing drug tests.

Dexter Lawrence, Zach Giella and Braden Galloway all had slivers of ostarine in their system, which is a banned substance by the NCAA.

While most national organizations just took the USADA definition at its word, they forgot to find out that the same organization has also said that the substance is beginning to be used in many different energy drinks, shampoos, creme and other products sometimes disguised with a different name.

All that aside, Gamecock fans were out in full force following the news.

Little Brother Syndrome…

Many Gamecock fans have gone from taking the news that a few Clemson football players failed drug tests and turned it into an entire program scandal of cheating.

If you look on any boards or scroll Twitter for too long, you’ll see what I’m talking about.

There are conspiracy theories that Dabo Swinney is intentionally giving his players drugs. It’s almost as if they can’t see behind their garnet and black glasses to see that maybe this isn’t as big of a deal as they’re making it out to be.

Now, in the end, if this doesn’t get overturned and they do find out that the players intentionally took these substances, then they’ll need to be punished. That still doesn’t mean that Dabo Swinney is running a dirty program and intentionally cheating.

But, you won’t be convincing some South Carolina fans of that.

People are always going to hate on winners. I’m sure that most Gamecock fans are tired of seeing Clemson’s success. They don’t like seeing the Tigers winning conference championships and competing for National Titles every single year.
